Within the past couple of years there have been new trends in wedding planning. The times of receiving a save the date card and wedding invitation are long gone! Many couples have turned to using wedding websites where they can tell their love story, show how the proposal went down, keep track of RSVPs and inform their guests of any changes.
We had a couple here at The Leadership Center use a wedding website as their main form of invitations. Everyone that had an email address received their invite via email; those who didn’t have an email received an invite the traditional way. I even recently received a save the date from a friend via email. Technology is slowly taking over wedding planning!
If you are in the market for a wedding website, there are quite a few out there to choose from! Here are some of your options:
- WeddingJoJo allows for clean and simple website planning. You have the option of free or premium. With those offers you can keep track of RSVPs and are even provided with a wedding planning kit!
- Weduary allows you to connect the website directly to your Facebook. Guests can even RSVP to your wedding through Facebook. With Weduary you also have the option of creating a password-protected website to ward off any unwanted visitors. Great option if you have any crazy exes!
- AppyCouple is actually an app for your smartphone! The information for your wedding is literally at your guests’ fingertips! You also would be able to send out information the day of the wedding either with changes or that the bride is running 5 minutes late.
One of the best features, I think, a wedding website provides is keeping track of RSVPs. It can be very overwhelming and time consuming keeping track of RSVPs, but with a wedding website, it takes the work out of it. It also keeps a very accurate count which is crucial when planning the meal and the set-up for the ceremony and reception.
These are just a few of the many options you have when it comes to wedding websites. I suggest you take the time to research your options and choose what is best for you, your needs and your budget.
There are many bonuses when it comes to creating a wedding website, but ultimately the decision is up to you and your fiancé. You have to do what is right for you!
Have a wonderful Thursday!!
