Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I want to dedicate my blog to something a little special. Not many know this, but we have teamed up with two amazing businesses here in town–The Plainsman Museum and The Edgerton Explorit Center.

We met with Megan at the Plainsman and Mary at the Edgerton last year to discuss this new partnership and what we could create. One of our projects is something that we are incredibly excited about!

If you don’t know much about either place let me fill you. According to The Plainsman Museum’s website, “The Plainsman Museum is a not-for-profit institution, which focuses on the time from 1860-1950, that collects, preserves, illustrates and works to establish the history
https://sites.google.com/a/plainsmanmuseum.org/home/ of Hamilton County, Nebraska through education, exhibits, research and maintenance of relevant archives and collections.”  One thing this doesn’t mention is that the Plainsman Museum has exhibits that actually allow you to walk back in time and participate in. For example, they have an old fashioned soda fountain, a chapel and a sod house!

According to the Edgerton Explorit Center’s website, “The Edgerton Explorit Center was founded in 1995 to instill and nurture in all people the joy of scientific discovery and exploration through hands-on learning experiences following the legacy of Dr. Harold “Doc” Edgerton, MIT professor and inventor. The Edgerton Explorit Center inspires kids age 2 to 92 through exciting activities and state-of-the-art programming.” The Edgerton Explorit Center is always changing and evolving. They have some wonderful hands-on exhibits that can keep you entertained and learning for hours. Through our partnership, all of our family reunions receive complimentary joint tickets to the Plainsman Museum and the Edgerton Explorit Center which they have access to them

both during their stays. Our guests have absolutely LOVED them! The Plainsman Museum offers you history of Hamilton County, but also can trace back family lines which is wonderful for family reunions. The Edgerton Explorit Center allows everyone to explore science in a fun and exciting way and learn.

I grew up going to both museums and I have so many memories. They are some of my favorite memories!!

I recommend if you are looking for something a little bit different, but totally personalized and full of personal touches, visit the Plainsman Museum and the Edgerton Explorit Center. You won’t be disappointed!!

Have a great weekend!
