We get to do some pretty cool things here at The Leadership Center including serving some fabulous clients, putting on stunning events and getting to meet people from all over. Every once and awhile we even get to leave the property to share about The Leadership Center elsewhere. Just the other week, Micheala and I got to do just that!
We hit the road and headed up Highway 34 to Grand Island where we participated in the Northwest Career and College Fair & Workshops. It was worth the early morning…and not just because we got our Starbucks holiday flat whites and chocolate croissants!
Micheala set up our booth at the career fair. There she answered questions like:
- What The Leadership Center is?
- What she does at TLC?
- What was her background and experience?
- What kind of jobs do we hire for?
While Micheala was at the career fair, I was in the classroom presenting a leadership workshop called “Impact.” I had the opportunity to work with freshman to senior Grand Island Northwest students. It was amazing. They were engaged, passionate and inspiring. We talked about big dreams, what needed to be done to accomplish those big dreams as well as facing our fears and challenges. They explored their impact on their communities and how who they are, isn’t just impacting but important. It was a great morning.
Many don’t know that here at The Leadership Center, we’re more than a facility. We also facilitate workshops, leadership experiences, community service and more, both on location and on the road. If you are interested in seeing how we may be able to help you, just give us a call at 402-694-3934 or contact us here.
To Mrs. Jessica Brondel and G.I.N.W. High School students and staff, thank you for inviting us to be a part of your day. It was a great experience.
Enjoy your day.
