This is the time of year where we are out and about at different school’s for the FFA banquets and officer interviews. Normally, Maile is the one that gets to be out and about to partake in the banquets and interviews, however, this year I was able to participate in Heartland FFA’s officer interviews and even traveled to University of Nebraska-Lincoln to speak to some students about our internship program.
I was a member of the FFA and even held office when I was in high school so it was different being on the other side of the table. It was a lot of fun to see how passionate the kids are about their chapter and to hear what plans they have. It was a great evening spent with the Heartland FFA chapter.
Then earlier this week, I was able to travel to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and speak to their Advanced Food & Beverage class about the internship opportunities we have here at The Leadership Center. Having been a graduate of that program it was quite the surreal experience for me. I had a rush of memories of class and old friends come to me. It was great to be back on campus and to be able to talk about the exciting things we have to offer in our internship. I am working on some really exciting things and whoever interns with us this summer and fall will have the opportunity to help develop some wonderful new client offerings and really leave their mark on The Leadership Center.
This last week has been full of traveling, but included some wonderful experiences. Our summer busy season is about to begin so there are many more wonderful experiences ahead!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
