We are continuing our “Meet the Board” blog series in the new year. We’re excited to introduce one our newest board members. He has along history with our property and we’re happy to have him serving. Without further adieu, we’re pleased to introduce Mr. Tom Dux.
Name: Thomas Dux.
Job & Location: Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA Adivisor at Fairbury Public Schools.
NVAF Board Position and how long you have served on the board? It is my first year on the board and I am the District 1, 2, 5 Board Representative.
Favorite thing about The Leadership Center (either as a board member or from staying here as a guest.) I love the history of FFA at the Leadership Center. I remember attending COLT conference and PEAK conference as a student and it brings great memories back to me.
Why you like serving on the board or what you are looking to doing while serving on the board? I am looking to continue a great relationship with TLC and Nebraska FFA.
For those who do not know, The Leadership Center is a 501(3)(c) non-profit owned and operated by the Nebraska Vocational Agricultural Foundation (NVAF.) The NVAF is a board of directors made up of 10 Nebraska Agricultural Education teachers and 5 Nebraska business people in the areas of banking, law, accounting, as well as a business person from Lincoln and one from Omaha. While our board of directors are quite active with all the happenings of The Leadership Center, they are often behind the scenes and people don’t know them beyond name. So we are going to take some blog space to introduce to you our board members. We have asked each of them to answer a set of questions. Thanks for reading.
