July 14 is just around the corner! We are taking it back to 1968 where it all began 50 years ago. July 14 is going to be a far out time and we want to see you there! An Evening Stroll is a really fun summer fundraiser where our guests get to stroll through our beautiful property. We start with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in one of our beautiful spaces, we then enjoy a delicious meal and our auction in another space and end the evening out by the bonfire with roastable desserts. It is an event where everyone can have fun!
This year we are celebrating 1968-style. We are encouraging our guests to dress in 1960’s attire and to get groovy! The Leadership Center chef and his crew are cooking up a delicious meal which include favorites from 1968. Our guests will be enjoying beef wellington, scalloped potatoes, green beans almandine with a vegetarian option available.
This year our fundraising goal is $30,000 for tree line replacement, safety equipment placement throughout the property and leadership curriculum development. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on some really great auction items. Some of the packages that will be available include a one night stay in Lincoln which will include a gift card to Buzzard Billy’s and a gift card to the Lincoln Escape Room. We will also have a Kansas City package that includes tickets to a Royals game and a night stay in Kansas City. Another wonderful package we have to auction off is a Husker package that includes a Scott Frost autographed print. There are many more auction items that guests will have the opportunity to bid on. We are still accepting auction items if anyone would like to donate something to An Evening Stroll fundraiser, please contact Micheala at (402) 694-3934 if you are interested in donating an item for the auction.
Every donation counts and we are appreciate every donation whether small or large. If you are interested in celebrating 50 years with us, tickets can be purchased online here or by calling the office at (402) 694-3934.
Don’t be square, we hope to see you there on July 14, it is going to be a blast!
