The 4th Annual Evening Stroll was nothing short of a fantastic evening. We threw it back to our founding year, 1968 and embraced the era right down to the funky jello molds, candy of the times and our signature drink, the Buzz Aldrin. Our guests and even our staff took the opportunity to get into the spirit doning period clothing too.

We kicked the evening off with a splendid spread for the cocktail hour. Our kitchen staff enjoyed whipping up several dishes of the day including deviled eggs, meatballs in grape jelly, little smokies and some far out jello molds that included items like spam, boiled eggs, and Vienna sausage. Wild, right? We swear, it was a thing back in the day. The Grandview Cafe treated guests to numerous delicious beverages including the our signature concoction, the Buzz Aldrin.

For dinner, guests enjoyed a hearty feast. Chef John and his team served up a buffet of Beef Wellington, Scalped Potatoes, Green Beans Almondine, fresh baked buns, and a Groovy Green TLC Salad. Their tables were were decked out with beautiful flowers, tasty favors and their very own jello molds and bundt cakes.  Following dinner, Mark Kliewer of Kliewer Auction Company led a lively and fun auction.

As per tradtion, the evening concluded out on the island by the bonfire enjoying more sensational treats. They were also serenaded by the acoustic stylings of Johnny Ference. Overall, the evening was a out of this world. We can’t thank our supporters, donors and attendees enough for making this event a wonderful success.
