Without fundraising, there are many projects and organizations that wouldn’t be able to succeed, and their causes would lack necessary resources. Fundraising not only raises funds for a cause, but also brings awareness to it and shares its message of importance to individuals. This is why fundraising is so vital for many organizations.

One of my favorite things that I’ve done so far in my internship is help with The Summer Food Program, which provides free lunches to children 18 and under during the week from May to August. I’ve been lucky enough to see how kids benefit and are affected by the program- and it’s so much more than free food. Kids are given a safe space to ‘get away’ and spend time interacting and playing with other kids in the community. The experience that I’ve had with the program is why I have decided to plan a fundraiser for it.

The fundraiser is a 20’s themed Murder Mystery Dinner and takes place on August 10th at 6:00pm. The night will consist of food, drinks, a cash bar, and most importantly: mystery solving. All attendees are highly encouraged to dress up (I’ve already planned my entire outfit!).

With the passing of prohibition and organized crime on the rise, TheJuice Joint, a swanky speakeasy, has been nothing but jumping. To celebrate its success, an elaborate party has been planned to remember at the exclusive nightspot…and you are invited!

However, one of the names on the guest list is also on another’s hit list…and no one is safe from the consequences.

With murder on the menu, you are certain to find a medley of individuals to make the night most memorable. From major mobsters and their molls to the swanky singer with her hopes at Hollywood. The cigarette girl with a temper that sizzles to the crooked police chief with nothing to lose–no one is safe from murder…but everyone will have a chance at solving it.

Will the culprit be the Mayor who is capable of murder? The blacklisted bootlegger desperate to increase their sales? Or possibly the director with a shot at making history?

With the recipe for murder The Juice Joint will be certain to be serving up a night of mayhem to remember.

An evening of Murder, Mayhem & the Mob.

We are extremely excited for this event and look forward to raising money for the program. If you would like to purchase tickets or want more information, you can visit our  Facebook
