Every week, the TLC management and interns meet to go over cheat sheets. These packets include information about events that will be occuring each week and the details of those events. A lot has been going on here at The Leadership Center this past week so I thought it would be a good idea to put together my own “cheat sheet” for everyone.

Last Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the team worked on repainting the cabins. It took a lot of hard work but they look awesome.

On Wednesday, Kurt and Maile worked with the Central Valley FFA officer team during D4LC to develop leadership and personal skills. They taught many different sessions throughout the day, all of which cover important life topics. I know from experience, as Abby and I were lucky enough to get to participate in a D4LC camp, that what you work on and learn during these sessions will benefit you in the present and future. From prioritizing your values to serving others, D4LC covers it all.

That night was the TLC Olympics, which was created for staff fun day. The staff divided into four teams and each team was assigned a theme to dress up as. The themes consisted of camo, western, the 80’s, and tie-dye. We had a team dinner, decorated flags, and then played volleyball and other Olympic themed games. The night ended with a giant water balloon fight and then a campfire. It was a great night for the staff to have fun and spend time with each other.

We also have a lot happening this week. On Saturday, our Murder Mystery Dinner Party is taking place and we are super excited for it. If you would like to attend, tickets are still available!
