Inspiration idea #1.

Another bit of inspiration.

Micheala and I always enjoy planning the Harvest Gala. It’s a long, but fun process which usually starts with a little unexpected inspiration.

This year’s conversation started after we recieved a wedding invitation from a former teammate. We loved the font and the simplicity of the entire invitation. That led us to the inspiration wormhole on the internet, also known as Pinterest, where we discovered the these two pictures…amoung others.

We had the invitations designed, the theme identified, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus bunches priced out and the menus settled on. It was early June.

Shortly after, we had the band booked, brewery and vineyard finalized, and sponsorship & donor letters out. I will admit, we’ve never been this far before the end July…ever.

In September, the floral palette was solidified. We had already had an idea of what the arrangements would look like. To date, it was the best organized and easiest Gala to cooridinate and execute. It also might be our favorite event design thus far.

On that note, it was also the most successful Harvest Gala to date. We couldn’t be happier.

To put on event like this, truly takes many. As much as Micheala and I can dream up the perfect event, we are nothing without our teammates, volunteers, vendors, donors, sponsors and of course, attendees. It takes a village.

We would love to thank the village that helped us raise nearly $18,000 towards a new metal roof on Mather Hall and the expansion of saftey equipment throughout our 43 acre property. Yep, you read that right. As of today, we’ve raised nearly $18,000 at the Harvest Gala.

Knowing that, we have many to thank for making the 5th Annual Havest Gala the success it was. Thank you to the following businesses, organizations, and individuals who’ve made this year’s Gala a huge, nearly $18,000.00 success. We are so grateful, humbled, and blessed by your support. You are a part of a legacy that will allow us to create moments that matter for our clients for years to come. Thank you.

We also want to thank our entire team. You worked so hard to make this event happen. Whether it was building decor, setting up the event space, making food, or helping clean it all up, and put it away! We are so happy we got to work alongside each of you. We also thank our board, The Nebraska Vocational Agricutural Foundation, for your contributions too.

While we don’t have our professional pictures back yet, we do have a few snap shots to share from the evening. We promise to share Karen’s photos when we get them back.  *****UPDATE***** We have pictures, click here to see them.

The 6th Annual Harvest Gala…

For those of you wondering when next year’s event is, mark your calendars and save the date: Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Yes, we know, Nebraska is playing at Wisconsin that day and some of you may be out deer hunting. We promise the following: if the game is on during the Gala, we promise to have the game on at the Gala. For those of you hunting, you can’t hunt after dusk…cocktail hour starts at 6 and more importantly, dinner is served at 7:15 p.m. It’s plenty of time for you to get cleaned up and come enjoy an evening at with us.

The boss & birthday girl, Maile, still smiling at the end of a very successful night.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Maile Ilac Boeder, IOM, Executive Director

PS: To all that were at the Harvest Gala, thank you for making my 41st birthday one I will not soon forget.
