\nJeremy Facknitz has been entertaining audiences with his lovingly crafte
d music and high-energy performances for over 20 years. Since the 2002 bre
ak-up of his Detroit-based band 'The Ottomans' (2001 Detroit Music Award W
inner\, Best New Alternative Band)\, Jeremy has performed primarily as a s
olo act\, sharing through an often quirky fusion of folk-rock and jazz his
intimate stories of life\, love\, and self-discovery.\n\nBut from 2003 to
2017 those stories\, for the most part\, fell on deaf ears. Facknitz carv
ed out a living performing at bars\, coffeeshops\, and corporate events wh
ile teaching lessons on the side. 'I was happy to be making a living perfo
rming music\, but my original music wasn't being heard\, and as the years
passed I found myself more and more frustrated playing to little more than
the din of drunken conversation.' Things came to a head on July 17th\, 20
17 when Jeremy was diagnosed with viral meningitis. 'I came face to face w
ith my mortality\, and I realized it was time for a change. I quit the bar
s and spent the next year making the leap to house concerts\, touring\, an
d performing solely for listening audiences.'\n\nThe leap has paid off. Hi
s latest album 'From Those Sweet Ashes'\, released in 2020\, has earned aw
ards and critical acclaim. He continues to book shows in the United States
\, Canada and the U.K.\, performing primarily at festivals\, listening ven
ues and house concerts.\n\nAgain\, suggested donation at the door for Jere
my Facknitz. is $20.00. All funds collected will go to the artist.\n
