We are beginning the Harry Potter series! Along with this club, we will also be hosting a Saturday morning club to. Please note that you can go between the clubs as it suits your schedule. If you can only make it from time to time, THAT’S OK! If you’ve already read the books and seen the movies and love talking about them….and want to come to club, please do. Audiobook listeners welcome too. Whether you join us for every week of this journey or come and go, we get it. Life is busy, there are commitments and time gets away from you! With this guide you’ll have an idea of where we’ll be each week.

"Cain's Jawbone" is a murder mystery puzzle written by "Torquemada"-Edward Powys Mathers. The puzzle was first published in 1934 as part of The Torquemada Puzzle Book. In 2019, crowdfunding publisher Unbound published a new stand-alone edition of the puzzle in collaboration with the charity The Laurence Sterne Trust.

Cain's Jawbone has been described as "one of the hardest and most beguiling word puzzles ever published. This club started this summer and has continuted on! So each Friday evening, we're hosting "Friday Night Murder Club" at Espressions. You'll find our 'crime board' as a part of the Potter Common Rooms in the back! Join us for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat as we move the pages around in this great mystery looking for the solution. Come when you can or come each Friday! We'll see you there.

Trapped Down of Hastings is coming to downtown Aurora! We're so excited that they are coming to Espressions to host an "On-The-Go" Escape Room Competition. You'll be solving "The Missing People."

Teams can be made up of no more than 4 people. It is $20.00 each person and that includes a small drink from Espressions: Coffee & Community. The contest is limited to no more than 6 teams and the winning team wins a 4 person booking to Trapped Downtown in Hastings.

We will have our kitchen open so attendees are welcome to order other things off our food and drink menus!

It's going to be a great night.

PS: This event is run by Trapped Downtown of Hastings. Espressions: Coffee & Community is just the space and the place the event is being hosted. Our normal Game Night and Friday Night Murder Clubs will still be happening!

What to bring? Notebooks, pencils, and dice will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own materials and figurines!
How do I join? Just show up! There is not entry fee or prerequisites to join D & D except a love for adventure, dungeons, and occaisonal dragons! You are not required to attend every session. There will be single session and multi-session campaings offered.

We're excited to be bringing "Shanna in a Dress" to Espressions! She is on tour and we are one of her stops! She'll be playing on March 29th from 7-8:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $10 p.p. with all funds going to the artist.

Shanna is a quirky singer-songwriter who will make you laugh, cry, and cry from laughing throughout her show. We promise you'll be so glad you came out to enjoy live music at one of your favorite coffee houses! We'll be serving our full menu so come for supper or grab a coffee and stay for the show! We also promise our now famous cookie break for all those in attendance.

As has always been our policy, live music is a gift! We want everyone who can, to come and enjoy. Please do not let a cover charge the the reason you don't come!
