Strobel Welding Camps
Strobel Welding Camps provide an exciting, hands-on opportunity for students in grades 6–12 to explore the world of welding. Whether just starting out or building on previous experience, campers will learn essential welding techniques, complete creative projects, and gain exposure to real-world career pathways in the skilled trades. Each participant receives at least 20 hours of hands-on welding time, ensuring meaningful skill development throughout the week.
Hosted in partnership with Central City High School and led by experienced instructor Alex Stocker, students train in a professional welding shop while staying at The Leadership Center in Aurora, NE. With small group sizes, personalized instruction, and a focus on both skill-building and fun, Strobel Welding Camps offer a one-of-a-kind summer experience.
Thanks to the generous support of Strobel Companies, Klute Inc., and industry partners including Central City High School and Behlen, this camp—valued at over $1,000 per participant—is offered at a significantly reduced cost of $350 for youth and $400 for educators.
New in 2026, we are excited to introduce an Educators Welding Camp, expanding opportunities for teachers to gain hands-on experience and bring welding and skilled trades knowledge back to their classrooms.
All campers will also go home with their own personal protective equipment (PPE)—including a welding helmet, jacket, and gloves—so they can continue building their skills beyond camp.
