Employment Opportunities

Coffee Enthusiast and Community Connector (Afternoons, Evenings, and Saturdays)

Must be 16 years old or older. Experience is not necessary but is a plus.

Duties include: Crafting exceptional coffee and tea that tantalize taste buds at our coffee shop, Espressions: Coffee & Community. Preparing and presenting our scrumptious bakery items. Preparing items from the menu while ensuring a seamless dining experience. Handling cash, answering phones, and keeping our shop clean and tidy. Overall, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere while fostering community connections.

Conference Assistant (Afternoons, Evenings, and Weekends)

Must be 16 years old or older. Experience is not necessary but is a plus.

Duties include: Creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests and groups visiting The Leadership Center. Preparing lodge rooms and bathrooms so every guest enjoys a clean, relaxing stay. Assisting with meeting room setup to ensure events and conferences run smoothly. Helping with various tasks around the property, which may include some outdoor work. Responsibilities may involve some heavy lifting, repetitive motion, and working outside in a variety of weather conditions. Overall, helping support a positive guest experience and contributing to the welcoming community atmosphere of The Leadership Center.

Lead Cooks (Weekdays and Weekends)

Must be 18 years old or older. Experience is a plus.

Duties include: Preparing delicious meals, breaks, and other food requests for guests and groups throughout your shift. Ensuring proper food preparation, presentation, portions, and plating to provide a high-quality dining experience. Leading and working alongside the kitchen team to support a smooth and efficient kitchen environment. Assisting with other tasks as needed. Responsibilities may involve some heavy lifting and repetitive motion. This position may include weekday, evening, and weekend hours. Overall, helping create a welcoming dining experience for guests visiting The Leadership Center.

Kitchen Assistant (Daytimes, Evenings, and Weekends)

Must be 15 years old or older. Experience is not necessary but is a plus.

Duties include: Preparing and serving delicious meals for guests and groups visiting The Leadership Center. Assisting with food preparation and presentation to help create a positive dining experience. Supporting the kitchen team with cleanup and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Responsibilities may involve some heavy lifting and repetitive motion. Overall, helping ensure guests feel welcomed and well cared for while enjoying their meals and refreshments at The Leadership Center. From time to time, you may also assist around the center with setups and housekeeping when needed.

Because we are a nonprofit organization, we are not able to offer traditional employee benefits. However, we do offer several perks for our team members:

Team Support

  • We wash team shirts and kitchen hats for you.

Uniforms

  • Our dress code is simple: dark-wash, non-distressed jeans or denim/khaki shorts or capris.
  • Kitchen team members may also wear scrub pants.
  • Non-slip, closed-toe shoes are required.
  • We provide team shirts for you to change into when you arrive at work. If you prefer to have one at home, additional shirts are available for purchase.
  • Kitchen team members must keep their hair tied back and wear a kitchen hat (provided).
  • At Espressions, hair must also be tied back.

Food & Drink Perks

  • 15% discount on drinks at Espressions: Coffee & Community.
  • When working at the coffee shop, you receive a free drink and, depending on the length of your shift, a free meal.
  • When working at The Leadership Center, you have access to the beverage station during your shift, and if guests are being served a meal, we make sure our team members are fed too.

Wellness & Recreation

  • Access to the pool and pond.
  • Team members ages 16 and older have access to our fitness room.

Working here often means learning skills you might not expect! Whether you’ve ever wanted to learn how to drive a tractor, run a chainsaw, back up a truck and trailer, make our famous stuffed mushrooms or brisket, or craft the perfect latte—we’re happy to teach you.
