Over the years, we have developed a number of educational offerings under our Disciplines 4 Leadership Communities Programs. They vary from 2-day leadership conferences to day camps, week-long camps to partnership camps with the Edgerton Explorit Center, and everything in between.

We are currently seeking energetic individuals to help plan workshops, facilitate programs, and welcome guests on our property.

One of The Leadership Center’s favorite programs is the Summer Food Service Program, or, as we like to call it, Lunch Bunch. The goal is to provide youth, ages 18 and under, with a positive place featuring engaged adults and student leaders who offer healthy and delicious lunches, enrichment activities, and community for an hour a day, Monday through Friday, during each week of the summer. This is to foster friendships and mentorships. The Lunch Bunch Program director will be the bunch’s regular and familiar smiling face (and Connect 4 or UNO master) while also ensuring the program runs smoothly behind the scenes. As a partially government-funded program, it requires important record-keeping and reporting. With a strong understanding of service, this individual will also interact with our D4LC leadership programs during service-learning workshops.

**The duties of this internship are generally part-time (about 9 am - 2:30 pm M-F). If you would like a full-time schedule, please indicate another internship area you would be interested in. Outside of the internship areas, this position could also include grant writing, obtaining sponsorships, and creating partnerships with local businesses to support the growth and sustainability of the program.

The Leadership Center is seeking a Marketing and Communications intern to promote The Leadership Center, as well as our D4LC camps and other offerings, through both online and physical platforms. This intern will have an opportunity to market a business that serves over 55,000 clients a year from both in-state, out-of-state, and even internationally through over 500 events. The Marketing Intern will lead the implementation of all digital and physical marketing communication initiatives, including the website, email marketing, social media, and advertisements. We are looking for a creative and action-oriented person who believes in “Creating Moments that Matter” and desires to promote this mission to future clients and donors.

This year, we are seeking an individual with a passion for creating meaningful events, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a willingness to try new things. The ideal candidate should pay attention to details, delegate effectively, and work within a defined budget. This individual will not only plan current events, such as our most important fundraisers, and learn how to lead a staff to prepare for our guests' events, but also have the freedom to invent and pitch event ideas of their own for both The Leadership Center and our coffee shop, Espressions: Coffee and Community.

At The Leadership Center we pride ourselves in many things, but one of the most important components to guest experience is great tasting food. As a Culinary Intern at The Leadership Center, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals for diverse menus: anything from small, to-go meal orders, baked goods for our coffee shop, catering to over 400 wedding guests, or serving almost hundreds of summer campers in 16 days while maintaining proper food supplies. The internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience in various aspects of culinary arts, from food preparation and cooking techniques to menu development and leading a kitchen team.
