If you are interested in booking an event here, you can see if we have your dates open. Please note, if there are events booked on a desired day, we list which rooms are being used. Writing Workshop & Reading with Matt Mason
Nebraska State Poet, Matt Mason, will be in Aurora on Saturday, April 13th at Espressions: Coffee & Community.
From 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., Matt will lead a writing workshop in our back room. Attendance to the workshop costs $10 per attendee. Please register in advance!
From 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., Matt will be doing a FREE reading from 5 of his books and will answer questions at the front of the coffee shop.
Matt has run poetry workshops in Botswana, Romania, Nepal and Belarus for the State Department and serves as Nebraska’s State Poet from 2019-2024. He has received a Pushcart Prize and fellowships from the Academy of American Poets and the Nebraska Arts Council. His work can be found in the New York Times, on NPR’s Morning Edition, in American Life in Poetry and more.
