Sam's First MAPS!
The atmosphere in the Maps workshop was engaging, respectful, and instructive as I facilitated the dialogue on “Serve”, creating a conducive environment for meaningful discussion and learning. High schoolers thoughtfully defined what constitutes an act of service and eagerly shared their personal experiences, recounting heartfelt stories that showcased the impact of service on their lives. It was truly inspiring to listen to the students share their experiences with such passion and sincerity.
I strive to create an engaging and enjoyable learning environment in my classroom. Following our facilitation, we agreed that serving others doesn't diminish their worth or importance. Moreover, we discovered that acts of service not only bring joy to the recipient but also to the one providing the service, fostering a sense of mutual benefit and happiness. Maile had everyone clap for me as I finished facilitating. It was a blast!
