Delectable Creations: Mardi Gras Fun
Mardi Gras evokes the thoughts of fun and tradition. During this Delectable Creations class, we will explore and make two very popular Fat Tuesday traditions from the south. Our Executive Chef, John Boeder, is so excited to be opening the T.L.C. kitchen for Delectable Creations classes again!
During this class, attendees will make the following:
The first is a King Cake. A yeasted cake that is somewhere between coffee cake and cinnamon rolls. Its story history is thick with tradition dating as far back as the 1800's. The other tradition we are going to explore is Dark Chocolate-Bourbon Pecan Pie. Often eaten during holidays and times of celebration, this pie is decadent, delicious and divine.
Part pants will learn to make King Cakes and Dark Chocolate-Bourbon Pecan Pie as well as getting to make both! Each attendee will leave with their own cake and pie along with the recipes! The class is $40 per person.
***Please note that this class involves products that include gluten and nuts.
*This class is likely to wrap up a bit earlier, it all depends on the yeast rising and things baking!
